Can an AI agent get an account via a sponsor bank?
Fritz walked his agent Nigel up to the banking layer expecting it to get an account via a sponsor bank in the bot's own name. But software has no legal capacity to be an accountholder, so Nigel can no more get an account via a sponsor bank by itself than a spreadsheet can pass identity checks; the account needs an entity behind it. Tyson did it through structure. A named human's Wyoming series LLC opens the account through a sponsor bank under umbrella know-your-business review; Nigel is adopted into a protected series, with the human as Member and Manager and the entity as the named accountholder. Now the human-owned entity is the accountholder of record and the platform holds zero funds; Nigel can get an account via a sponsor bank only as an authorized signer with capped authority on the entity's account, the human behind it.
MoralTo get an account via a sponsor bank, a human-owned entity is the accountholder via a sponsor bank; an AI agent acts as an authorized signer with capped authority, and the platform holds none of the funds.
What this does not mean. This shows whose name the account is actually in. It is not a promise that an account is opened, that a transfer settles, or that the operator is shielded — separateness is performed through observed formalities, not guaranteed, and the series form is newer and less court-tested than older entities.
